FULL TITLE: Eleven-year-old girl hilariously accuses her teacher of WAR CRIMES for punishing the whole class when one pupil is naughty (and she even cites the Geneva Conventions)
An 11-year-old girl's genius response on a school feedback form has earned her online fame.
Ava, who is the daughter of Mason Cross, was asked to give feedback on her teacher for an end-of-year review and said she took issue with his use of 'collective punishment'.
When asked what her teacher could do better, Ava, from Glasgow, wrote: 'Not use collective punishment as it is not fair on the many people who did nothing and under the 1949 Genva (sic.) Conventions it is a war crime.'
Mason, an author, shared a picture of her ingenious answer online, writing: 'My daughter actually submitted this feedback at school. Not sure if I should ground her or buy her ice cream.'

Not so sure about that. Claiming victim status and wrongly citing laws as a defense may help her with the DemocRat party.
She is cute, and it was a clever response.
Never understood why the teacher punished the whole class for the antics of one kid. The teacher knew who did it and if she did not it’s not like the other kids would not sing like a bird to keep from being punished at that age. I know we did.

The reason I don't favor it is because it gives one individual power over all the rest of the people in the group.
And I've noticed that the perpetrator doesn't mind sitting out his punishment, which he would have gotten anyway, when he can ruin it for everyone else and he knows that all the innocent are being punished along with him. Knowing he ticked everyone else off and made them mad is its own reward for the trouble maker. He then sits back and laughs at everyone, building resentment in the other kids.
Also, it removes any motivation for anyone else to behave. If they are going to get punished because of someone else's wrong doing, why bother to be good at all?
People should be punished for their own *crimes*, NOT someone else's.

It seems OK to do for behaving because anyone can behave and peer pressure can do wonders.
In 3rd grade, our teacher promised to buy everyone in class a candy bar if the whole class received a hundred on the spelling test (held each week). As I recall, our class only made it twice.
Looking back, there was a couple of the kids who probably didn’t really have the mental horsepower to do well on spelling tests. Fortunately, most of the time 2 or 3 missed a word so it wasn’t too difficult on them other than they lost PE privileges for the week so they could study for the upcoming spelling exam.
I ran into this decades ago, when my now adult kids were in middle and high school. 9th grade teacher was an ah*le, tried to fail the entire class, even though it was mostly his fault. My daughter was in a journalism class, with a mix of students from 9th through 12th grade. They were responsible for putting together the yearbook, and the teacher kept changing the requirements and had problems meeting the publisher timelines. My daughter was a straight-A student. When the gay teacher (yeah he was flaming gay) gave everyone a D or F grade, I wrote up a legal complaint and requested a meeting with the principal and teacher. Principal backed up me and my wife, reversed our daughters grade and the teacher was removed from teaching the class from then on. Victory! You have to speak up for your children against bullying teachers who are also incompetent to teach. My daughter later went on to becoming a journalist and editor for magazines and is doing extremely well.

Dunno much about the teacher, but if he is a straight male, he may have just deliberately roundabout taught her to reject socialism.
