That’s not the dreaded duck-face.

Ugh, I want to poison his spray tan. ... Is that from ‘Zoolander’?

Her whole life was gymnastics, and that includes being injured, yet continuing to compete (for her, that meant a broken foot and stress fractures, IIRC). After the 2012 Olympics, she was seriously injured in a fall while on an exhibition tour, and never recovered completely. Last competed in 2013, I think. Plus her body was finally maturing properly after she went off off the calorie restricted diet, including little protein or calcium. She’s tried acting and singing, admitted to depression, and generally not had much success. She’s only 21, with lots of time in front of her, but would be concerned about her current mental state.

What a tragedy!

She was a beautiful young woman before she suffered from the disease known as unnecessary plastic surgery.

I can't count how many women who's looks have been destroyed by this disease.

This disease takes perfectly fine female faces, and alters them beyond recognition into some kind of bizarre mask-like appearance.

What great thing are they contributing to society by playing a game or engaging in a competition?

There's more to life than politics, bro.

Where in that post did I mention politics?

How sad, she’s had those duck lips added! She was beautiful naturally. Fame is not always a good thing. I really am a fan but sheesh, those duck lips.

Gymnasts train for so many years. They give up a lot of life for their sport, but they also learn so much about perserverence and hard work that takes long periods of time to produce effects. If I had two equal applicants for a job and one had been a gymnast, I’d always hire the gymnast and so should you. They really don’t shy away from the hardest work imaginable, they face their fears, and they are mostly really good people.

And it’s true, gymnastics doesn’t make anyone rich. And they tend to love the sport so much they only stop when they have to. It’s a way of life, a world. I spent 10 years in/near this world and still am in the milieu.

Yeah, his dad is definitely funnier, but the son probably has 1000 times the net worth by now.

Yeah, and if that is the feeling you get, I think it’s intentional :)

Take me out to the ballgame,
Take me out for some fun.

Give me some peanuts and cracker jacks,
I don’t care if I never get back.

So it’s root, root root for the home team,
If they don’t win its a shame.

And it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out,
At the old ball game.

And a fantastic and cheerful performer.

Getting paid, probably pretty well, for doing something you love? But with a lot less pressure than competing? What's not to like?

These pictures are tamer than what most celebrities are doing. She probably has an agent with this being part of a campaign to put her back in the news. She’s only 21 is surely looking for a career that makes use of her name recognition.

She might be able to work in Cirque du Soleil but other than that how could she monetize her gymnastic skills?
