I was never a Marvel fan. I liked DC comixs.
I’ll take DC Comics Sgt Rock or Unknown Soldier. They were sort of a mix of Inglorious Basterds, Indiana Jones, and Castle Wolfenstein. Not superhero material, but great comics.
DC weathers the test of time much better because it is set in a fictional universe. The corruption and crime syndicates that Daredevil was fighting in the 70s and 80s was a New York of times past. Rudy cleaned up New York and nationally crime is at historic lows, so it is hard to wrap one’s mind around Punisher, DD, ect…
