Yes, but the reverse isn't always the case. It's easy to build a car that can go 90 days without problems, but it doesn't follow that same car will be reliable over the next 3 to 5 years.

That said, GM seems to have pretty good reliability with some of their US built car lines now, based on some of the reports I've read.
