“It’s impossible to unclench her teeth to shove it in.”

This is a little hard to describe, but if you reach around over the top of the muzzle with your thumb on one side and fingers on the other side, apply pressure to each side, pinching the dog’s lips between your fingers and his teeth where they come together. Not too hard, but this will be uncomfortable and he will release his clench. Don’t try too hard, as I wouldn’t want to suggest something that could hurt him, but moderate pressure as I described will work.

Nope. She didn’t cooperate. Spit out the bread and butter. Still refuses it in canned food and sniffs of the dry food thinking there’s pills in that. It’s a pain pill for her tumor removal but she seems fine so I’m done. It’s the same stuff my doc gave me that makes me sick so she doesn’t need the same reaction. Hubby can fight with her with her night time arthritis pill.
