He was one of my favorite Bond’s

Of course we all need to start a Best Bond discussion in his honor.

1) Sean Connery (of course)
2) Roger Moore
3) Piers Brosnan
...
....
others I can barely remember their names including the current one- which it the mark of a poor ‘Bond’.

last) all the rest especially Timothy Dalton (which is sad- he had the right ‘look’ but lacked the ‘cool’)

I can’t even remember George Lazenby and I had no Idea David Niven was a Bond.

I had no Idea David Niven was a Bond.

Ian Fleming actually viewed Niven as his Bond, but couldn't get him. Niven played Bond in the spoof Casino Royale.

I've read all Fleming's books several times. Funny thing is, I picture Connery when Bond is being the ladies' man, or bantering about, but I picture Craig as the cold and calculating killer getting the job done efficiently.

Craig really does fit the role in that regard.
