I’m trying.

I will say, I have been for Trump FOREVER. I was for Trump before many here were even considering whether he should run.

I have been for Trump for more than two years now.

But I will say this to Trump, as a bit of real advice: I supported you most of all, for two reasons:

I voted for you, because you were saying you would build the wall.

I voted for you, because you were saying you would drive a hard bargain on global trade.

Trump I have supported you strongly, for a very long time.

But these are my big two issues.

And you have done next to nothing, on either one.

Do not back off. You NEED to start to focus on why people voted for you.

Or I’ll start backing Dwayne Johnson (the Rock) right now.

I’ll do it.

Sick. Voting for Duane Johnson? Thanks for outing yourself.

Rome was not built in a day.

Trump is doing so many deals that he will be able to go around typical funding measures....as several FReepers have pointed out, recently. Just the Saudi deal, alone, would suffice for funding.

I have supported Trump forever.

I have supported Trump forever, most of all, because of two big issues:

I have supported Trump forever, because he (and he alone) said he would build a border wall.

And I have supported Trump forever, because unlike the entire 16 other candidates who ran against him, Trump said he would be for American workers.

Those are the TWO BIG ISSUES I have supported Trump, forever on. Right here on this website.

Check history. Two years.

I have been with Trump forever.

But he has done NOTHING about either of the two biggest issues I voted for the guy on.

Neither one.

I will absolutely change who I support, if he does not do what he said.

Trump. You said you would build a wall.

Trump. You said you would bring back American manufacturing.

So ... WHEN?

I’m fine with the US paying for the Wall - the whole idea of having Mexico pay for it sounded like a non-starter anyway - it’s our border, our border security and we should want to pay for it. But the Wall must be built - it was the core issue of Trump’s campaign and the reason many of us voted for him. Waver on this and he can kiss his re-election chances goodbye.

If Trump slacks on the wall and illegal immigration the republicans will lose in 2018.

He got the money to plan the wall and he ran a competitive contract operation to select the wall design and cost. He has the money to shore up the bad parts of the current wall that have to be rebuilt. He’s getting a billion or so more to add more to the wall next fiscal year. That leaves two billion he still needs for the wall and there is more than one way to skin a cat. He’s got at least four years.

For example, building the remainder of the wall can come from agreements with Mexico and programs to stop the flow of drugs.

The wall would be welcome language for liberals if it was to prevent people from leaving and avoiding paying the IRS, with watchtowers and shootings those who have passports confiscated seeking a foreign one.

Take the dollars ‘we the people’ are forced by the long arm of the law that funds religious charities and use it to build that wall. Just like Rome’s wall around it’s ‘high’ place.
