Perhaps us old-timers are naive when we describe “the good old days” and have no memories of this type of sexual/predatory abuse.

It may be time to administer psychiatric tests and background checks before teachers and child group leaders (scouts, sports, priests) get access to our precious children.

And no adult in these positions of ‘trust’ should be alone with minors.

Parents are so trusting and the predators know it.

The girl told police that the incident was not the first time that Thomas had made her feel uncomfortable, and that he had whispered in her ear comments about her having beautiful hair. She said he rubbed her shoulder and back, and had made comments that he should have videotaped her and her friends “goofing around.” She said he also told her that if she ever went up for adoption, to let her know.

I can see why she was creeped out. Teacher was putting the moves on her.
