I've been to Utah MANY times, but this past Spring break my daughter, her cousin, and I came back home through the La Sals south of Moab and into Paradox, CO. I've been that way only one time before. Normally, I've gone the Fruita and Grand Junction way back home to Denver. It is amazingly gorgeous in there through Utah and Paradox. Very remote. Unfortunately, this last time, I went through there kinda late so we didn't get to see the gorgeousness that there is all the way up to Grand Junction.

This pic was taken in Paradox...just ranching there. I took it with my not so good cell phone cam, so it doesn't do it justice. I was driving my daughter nuts stopping every few feet to get pics. ;)

You cannot beat the scenery. Breathtaking is all I hear if I drive from Flora Vista NM to Durango with company as we top the hill on hwy 550 just before the drop to hwy 160. That view looking down on south Durango is awesome with the rockies framed over the town.

***I was driving my daughter nuts stopping every few feet to get pics. ;)***

I used to live at MOAB and La Sal! Dead Horse Point and ARCHES is still my favorite areas!
I drove my family nuts stopping every few feet to take photos. Finally my wife said she would drive, and for me to yell when I wanted her to stop. So I did.

“STOP! STOP! NO NO, BACK THERE! BACK UP A HUNDRED YARDS! Stop sooner! THE CLOUDS HAVE MOVED! THE PHOTO IS NOT THE SAME!” Now I do all the driving when we get to picturesque country.
I have hundreds of photos, and thousands of digital photos.

Strange. I have very few photos of Oklahoma and Kansas. The Glass(Gloss) and Wichita Mountains of Oklahoma is about all. Wonder why!
