A big part of ADHD is teachers teaching crap in slow motion. Thake a kid with an average or better IQ and try to teach them socialist sesame street for 8 hours a day and the only way to keep their attention would be to drug them.

I agree with you. Both of my kids actively sought advanced courses in high school, because the teachers taught "too slow" in the regular classes.

OBTW, when I was in elementary school, one teacher sat me next to the window and told me that I did not have to pay attention, but I could not disrupt the class. I spent all day looking out the window and getting "As."

I think you’ve put your finger on a major element.

I’ve had success teaching some ADHD things very rapidly far beyond their grade level...but give them something else to do when you have to stop and repeat things for the others, or you’ll lose them.
