Our tomatoes are the best we've seen. We started from seed on March 2nd or 3rd. Peppers a few days later.
All the tomatoes are Roma varieties, half will be sandwich size for slicing, the other for pasta sauce.

Radishes, my favorite snack, were also very productive. We had lettuce spontaneously erupt from the corner of one of the raised beds. Wife picked this and we enjoyed a wonderful salad with radishes and green onions (plus a store bought tomato and a cuke from a local Mennonite farmer) for dinner earlier.

Thunderstorms are moving through the Lake of the Ozarks area tonight. So far, no hail. We saw some damage near Springfield on TV news. No injuries reported.

Our main garden is on the farm in central MO. We head down to the Ozark farm this morning where we have a small garden that only gets intermittent care. I put in two Stark apple trees that were thriving last time I was down 2 weeks ago.

It rained all night here in central MO and I haven’t looked at rain gauge yet. I fear the worst since I just had two waterways built on the farm. They are newly seeded with wheat and fescue that has just emerged. Erosion is my enemy, just like the old media empire.
