Notice it says “assembled in the USA”. The parts are still crap from China. GE does the same thing. Assembled here from crap from elsewhere.
When I started with GE in 1985 we made every part, wiring, fan motors, elements, valves, everything was GE. Now they are just assembled with parts from Indonesia, China, Mexico, etc.

Do you remember those GE dishwashers from the 1980’s? The tub had a rubbery type coating that was easily scratched. Then moisture would get underneath the coating and it would rust out in short order. Talk about bad design. And there was the dishwasher with the heated dry switch in the door that would short-out and burn down your house.

GE has also spun off a lot of appliance units that it used to make.
