The real reason Trump canned Jim Comey
New York Post ^ | 11 Apr, 2017 | Paul Sperry

The straw that broke the camel’s back for now-ousted FBI Director James Comey was the investigation he apparently wasn’t doing.

President Trump’s much-reported frustration with Comey almost certainly arose from the G-man’s failure to get to the bottom of Obama aides’ illegal leaks of classified information — leaks aimed at undermining the incoming Trump administration.

And top Republicans in Congress shared that concern.

Under grilling last week, the director refused to say whether he had launched a probe into illegal leaks by the Obama team of highly classified intelligence intercepts of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and possibly other private US citizens working on the Trump transition.

“I don’t want to answer that,” Comey told Senate Judicary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley. The chairman described that reticence as odd given how the government “regularly acknowledges” when it’s investigating classified leaks.

Grassley appeared skeptical the FBI had opened an investigation at all — even suggesting the bureau didn’t want to investigate itself. “There are several senior FBI officials who would’ve had access to the classified information that was leaked, including yourself and the deputy director,” the senator said, referring to Andrew McCabe, now the FBI’s acting director.

YOU certainly have a point, there! It was enough that Comey was arrogance personified, while dragging his ballet shoes on investigating anything.

There is no results, no reporting, no time table, no evidence and no oversight. What Leftie wouldn’t take advantage of a job like that, where you claim everything, produce nothing, but, for great pay and a lot of applause?

There needs to be a special prosecutor -- to investigate him, McCabe, and other senior officials at the FBI who allowed this obvious travesty to continue for so long.

From what I can see, that will happen.

Trump has only had his hands on the actual reins of power for a couple of months and has accomplished much. Still a few more high ranking dead enders to be removed. My guess is that the actual prosecutions will start low and work their way up. The machinery is being put in place. It's going to be a multi-year process to get the wheels of justice restarted and finely grinding again.

We may finally be getting around to the real issue at play which is the orchestrated effort to subvert a duly elected president. Democrat leaders and their media allies did not began asking for Director Comey’s dismissal until after President Trump took office. At the same time, they actively worked to prevent staffing the new administration, especially the Justice Department.

Had President Trump fell into their trap and fired Comey while Sally Yates was still acting Attorney General, she would have immediately responded to the outcry and appointed a special prosecutor such as Patrick Fitzgerald. The administration would have then been tied in knots for years. President Trump wisely waited until he had control of the Justice Department before he moved on Comey and that is precisely what has his enemies so upset now. Their plan to have Clinton elected failed and their hastily devised backup plan to saddle him with a special prosecutor has now failed. Senator Grasley has control of his committee and the only thing left is a media that is daily loosing the little credibility they had left. Things are finally looking up.

“The Clintons are now DESPERATE, and it’s showing in the MSM coverage.”

They should be...because anyone with even a room-temperature IQ is going to ask, “Hey, WHY did Hillary have need for a personal server in the first place? How many other high government officials have ever had one of those? Could there be SOMETHING else going on here besides the mere release of classified information?”

The simple FACT is that the Clinton’s so-called “foundation” was a vehicle (or, rather, a very complex and tangled SET of vehicles) for accepting bribes from various foreign and domestic individuals, companies and governments that wanted influence, but couldn’t just nakedly write a check payable to “Hillary Clinton.” INVESTIGATE THE BRIBES, AND INVESTIGATE THE VIOLATIONS OF TAX LAW!

And the “donations” to the Clinton Crime Family dried up to zip as soon as she lost.

That’s all you need to know.

You are absolutely correct. He saved her from likely indictment (eventually, and under duress) and unlikely prison.

That has been his real job since he started cronying for the Clintons twenty-odd years ago. He is a shyster lawyer unfit to breathe the same air with an honest rank-and-file agent.
