Downingtown STEM Academy administrator Zachary Ruff, who became involved in a heated exchange during an anti-abortion protest last month conducted by two teens outside the nationally ranked school, has resigned.
Ruff, dean of student life and academics, resigned to the Downingtown Area School Board members on Thursday afternoon, according to district officials.
“Dr. Ruff, the school board, administration and all members of the Downingtown Area School District would like to put this terribly unfortunate incident in the past to enable everyone to move forward,” the statement from the district reads in part.

I like how the article appears to try and make him sound like a party we should be sympathetic towards and instead comes across as making him sound like a complete wimp.
As I understand it, it was an “exchange” in which he screamed obscenities at them, and they remained calm.
Have a feeling they told him to resign and to so to ASAP or else he would be fired in a major way. He did this to avoid another more trouble.

Once again, it demonstrates the paradoxical truth that “academics” are often the most rigid, bureaucratic, narrow-minded, and ideological people you will ever meet.

Sadly, by resigning he now has the option to find work elsewhere.
And he’ll likely continue his behavior there as he learned nothing.
