My doc says that to derive any benefit from turmeric, I must eat massive amounts, as most never gets into the system, and there is only a tiny amount of the active ingredient in it.

I have read that there are no recorded instances of turmeric overdose, ever.

Circumin pills: relatively expensive.

Raw Turmeric: not expensive at all.

I have given up on making it palatable. Now I see it as a test of my mettle and discipline. I ever make it through an entire glass - too yucky!

But then again, I am ingesting massive amounts.

I usually put 3 heaping tablespoons in a 20 oz cup of warm milk with a couple shots of espresso mixed in.
