Sheriff Clark selection would be a double-win

Selecting Sheriff Clarke for FBI Director would be a double-win for President Trump.

Not only was Clarke a strong Trump supporter during the campaign and a rock-ribbed conservative, but he would be the first Black FBI Director.

And it would be a Republican president who appointed him, which would drive the Dems insane.

Can you imagine the liberal knots, if Dems in congress opposed Clarke and were called racist.

Using the liberal race card against them.

I’m inclined to think the sheriff of Milwaukee County lacks the experience to be effective as FBI Director. Neither is skin color nor his support for Trump are relevant qualifications.

Since Mr. Clark has already announced that his first act as FBI director would be to arrest Hillary Clinton, do you imagine that there are ten votes in the Senate to confirm him?

Sheriff Joe is too old to begin such a duty. He will be 85 y/o in a few weeks on June 14th. Sheriff Joe has had his time in a strong position of influence and leadership. He is known throughout the nation. Arpaio leaves a legacy of courage, dedication to the law and to patriotism.
I would like to see Sheriff Clark in that position, but I don’t know if he has the requisite background. If he is nominated, we will find out.

My Bet - Pistel for FBI Director has the background, worked for Dem/GOP and a Pence buddy. You need a middle of road squeaky clean guy

then Clarke as Asst FBI-Dir and dump McCabe.

Would be funny to watch Dems try and derail Clarke though. Identity politics melt-down

That probably won’t be a popular opinion ‘round here but I agree.

Considering Clarke's lack of qualifications for the position I think the Democrats would have no problem opposing him while at the same time proposing Black candidates of their own.

I believe Clark has more experience than Comey ever had.

Populists will vote for the most popular, not the most qualified. Hence the absent minded suggestion.

Clarke is an excellent human being and law official. Not an FBI director.

I like Sheriff Clark a lot, but he does not have the temperament for this position. In this position I fear he would make statements that would serve as constant distractions to the administration.

How is the Milwaukee County crime rate?

Has the crime rate decreased since he became sheriff?

Is the Murder Rate in Milwaukee County higher or lower than Chicago?
