I feel the need ...

My very first car, bought with my very own money, was a 1956 Cadillac Sedan.
Within a month of owning it, I just had to know.
So we headed out to the countryside and on Rte 12
in Southern Michigan between Niles and New Buffalo.
I put the hammer down.
When the needle crossed the line just past the 100MPH mark,
I stopped looking down and just stared at the road.
So I have no exact idea of how fast we were going.
But well over 100, and in truth it was smooth as could be.
Those fence posts and light poles did start to kind of "run together."
...if only I still had that car...
