A "United Europe" as a concept really doesn't bother me, as long as Europe stayed European. But that is changing.

No, it’s bad enough when Europe is “European” according to the vision of the founders of today’s united Europe. Ever since the nineteenth century, it’s always been Hegelian and rationalist, or worse.

Even Churchill wanted Britain, i.e. as he knew it, to be the guiding force in a united Europe and not any of the other European powers.
