Happy Sunday all, it’s been Spring yard work and planting day here...

A strong lineup tonight...am curious about Treasury Star Parade...the awesome Phil Harris show...unfortunately only a recreation of Winston Churchill’s famous speech...never heard of Four for the Fifth, also from Treasury...Monitor: Meet the Press looks like a waste...and ending well with a Lux from ‘43...

Long time no talk...Peru is well Peru...

Introducing the 1938 “Shadow” episode on WGN last night, host Carl Amari said Agnes Moorhead was the first Margo Lane.

But the first was really Margot Stevenson, and she was on that very episode even.

Ha! I knew he was wrong, having caught on to Margot Stevenson a couple of months ago.

Then Carl Amari came back on during the break and admitted it was Margot Stevenson on that episode, but he tried to waffle and say Agnes and Margot alternated episodes, i.e., they were both “the first,” which I doubt.

BTW Paul Lynde spread the false rumor that Agnes Moorhead was a lesbian. He wasn’t so nice off camera.

BTW, I also heard a John Lund “Johnny Dollar” episode this week.

John Lund had a great voice. Rich with a touch of fog.

Welcome back to the first world, Vision! I’m glad you’re safely home.

I almost forgot about the thread. We went to the shooting range today and blew off a bunch of rounds.

You’re probably tired from the yard work. Any other news?

Hey there, great info. Have you mentioned WGN before? What’s the OTR schedule?

No news here. We had a bunch of rain last week, and now we’re drying out with nice warm weather. Gonna grill some chicken thighs.

World War II theme tonight. ‘Treasury Star Parade’ and ‘Four for the Fifth’ seem to be shows produced by the US Treasury to sell war bonds. I don’t fault them for the JFK interview since it is his centennial this month. Mrs. Miniver is classic pro-British war propaganda.

WGN has OTR on Saturday and Sunday late nights around the midnight hour.

It comes in great on my radio in NC.

The only drawback is, they stretch a half hour episode into an hour of radio time with a some very long breaks.

The host Carl Amari is apparently a big shot in radio drama. He produces new Twilight Zone radio episodes which I hear on weekends on a channel in the 1500s. He has also made a New Testament audio tape with big stars doing the reading. I hear ads for it.

Sacrilege. You do know of Antioch and 20th Century right?
