Strong for a Moment Like This - The Daily Devotions of Hillary Rodham Clinton is a book in a Cokesbury Catalog. Cokesbury provides resources for the United Methodist Church.
Here are some excerpts from the book description:
Strong for a Moment Like This gives readers an inside, personal look at the faith of one of our nations most lauded leaders.
Rev. Dr. Bill Shilladya pastoral friend of Clintonsand a small team of other pastors provided the Democratic nominee with spiritual support to stay strong through arguably one of the more contentious elections in American history.
As Secretary Clinton said in The New York Times (January 26, 2016), My study of the Bible, my many conversations with people of faith, has led me to believe the most important commandment is to love the Lord with all your might and to love your neighbor as yourself. And that is what I think we are commanded by Christ to do. And there is so much more in the Bible about taking care of the poor, visiting the prisoners, taking in the stranger, creating opportunities for others to be lifted up, to find faith themselves that I think there are many different ways of exercising your faith.
The only religious faith Hillary practices is liberalism/Alinskyism.
Good grief. This is so far fetched it’s hard to imagine they’d even try to push this crap.
And there is so much more in the Bible about taking care of the poor,
And to good liberals such as Hillary, that means yet more and more government social programs, which keep people in poverty.
I like #4.
And there is so much more in the Bible about taking care of the poor,
To liberals this means only government programs will do.
Churches and denominations perform a huge amount of charitable work in this country. Yet they get very little credit for their voluntary charitable work, especially from the liberal side of our politics.
Vince Foster
United Methodist, huh? They endorse the wholesale slaughter of the unborn and newly born, are “confused” over sodomy, and numerous other cliche crap drivel-bits from the left. Anyone who believes in this Satan worshiper is a total jackass.
Incredible that a so-called “Rev. Dr.” would even think of peddling this drivel. What an outrage!
Some months ago the congregation changed its name. There is no mention of "Methodist" now. They had grown fed up with it being assumed that they were affiliated with the UMC.
Turbo gag barf material. A lauded leader? WTH has she ever lead, except corruption?
God, half this country is brain-dead! That was tough to read. Even my nephew (with two lefty parents) hates her.
She says she is a Christian and yet is a rabid supporter of Planned Parenthood. Grade “A” BS alert.
If the past 9 years hadn’t ruined my spirit, I would be laughing at this.
And, think we in CT have a couple more years of depression to go through.
I could swear this is what it said the first time I read it.
Growing up in a family biz they were one our distributors. Yikes.
