Maybe I should have read the whole thread. Apparently, as others pointed out, there is an exception for persons age 14 to give consent to someone within 4 years of their age. So the case should have revolved around the age these “boys” claim to be and their actual age, which in the case of many illegal immigrants is found to be much higher than they claim. It seems the court in the blue, blue Montgomery county (that abuts the District of Columbia) wants to take the boys’ word for it.
