Snyder, the half-his-age-plus-seven, who was working with Brooks at that time, might have been a cause for the "rockiness" of the marriage. Brooks and the first wife just bought a million dollar plus home in 2012. Very unusual for a couple who was flirting with divorce to invest that much only to blow that up right after that. Jesus smacked down Mosaic law concerning divorce. Christ basically defined blasphemy through the "hardness of the heart" while the shell of oneself is perverting the Spirit. If Snyder and Brooks diddled with each other while Brooks was married, then they both are bastardizing marriage,

"There is a big relativistic strain through our society that if it feels good for you, then who am I to judge? I think that is fundamentally wrong, and I’d rather take the hits for being a moralizer than to have a public square where there’s no moral thought going on." -- David "The Divorce Culture is Bad" Brooks

Sure. They flipped the original home for 4.5M and bought a second home for 1.9M. The deed allegedly indicates he was living in an apartment since July ‘13, she with her family. Looks like a simple division of equity real estate transaction to me. Applying as joint tenants helps the loan go thru. And waiting two years before flipping the original purchase probably has to do with capital gains rules.
