80% black in city proper who’s surprised
Jackson my hometown went black majority in the late 80s
That killed it plain and simple
It is very rough in every way
The western suburb Clinton is nice but going black too and will be lost in 10-15 years
The northern and eastern burbs are very nice like say Bloomfield Hills is to Detroit
Madison is actually bucolic
The southern suburbs are less defined but also white
I wish virtue signaling obsessed south haters here coulda lived it
You can’t grasp this from Boise or Souix City
What about down river like Yazoo, Natchez Vicksburg and Carthage?
It is the most depressing place for me. My high school assistant principal predicted this long ago. I left for college in 1987. The place is in ruins now.
I read a story yesterday about how wonderful Madison Central High is because over 100 students scored a 30 or above on the ACT. Those are the offspring of my peers who fled Jackson.
I am reminded of the movie The Blob.
