Speaker Paul Ryan and House Republicans are set to pass legislation this week that forbids President Trump from using federal funds from the May 2017 budget on his proposed border wall.
After several broken promises on immigration ALIPAC withdrew its endorsement of President Trump on Tuesday.

Nothing ever happens fast enough for the Trump-bashing crowd, especially when indulging their anti-Trump impulses.
The continuous negativity is getting rather tiresome.
President Trump has already done exemplary work on curtailing illegal immigration, with many more wins to come.
Anybody who wants to hysterically throw their hands up in the air—and disingenuously claim that it was all campaign rhetoric—is in willful disregard of the facts.
Crybabies who always seek instant gratification are extraneous to the process of actually governing this country—except insomuch as they make it more difficult by serving the goals of the Enemy with the division they foment.
By now, we all get the schtick: anything the President ever does will never be thorough enough—or soon enough—to satisfy the armchair generals and malcontents. That's abundantly clear.
So go ahead and whine—about the President's efforts on immigration, of all things!—and meanwhile, the President will continue—slowly but surely—working hard and tirelessly to make America great again according to his own best judgement.
This President has earned my trust and loyalty a dozen times over. I'm not inclined to give up on him after only 100 days...

It seems to me we needed to strike now while we could.

The closer we get to the mid-term elections, the less likely any congresscritter is going to climb out on a limb, hence the pubs will cave on the 2017-2018 budget.
There is now more money in a 5 month budget (assuming Pres. Trump signs it) than there should be.
Come next budget, some of the additional money will be cut and victory will be claimed.
I sure hope Pres. Trump has something concrete up his sleeve, cause it sure feels like we’re being played.

So you are happy that the President has told DACA recipients that they can rest easy, signaling that the program will continue, despite his promise that the illegal and unconstitutional program dreamed up by Obama would be ended.
No, I'm not. But I'm able to keep a sense of perspective and acknowledge all the progress which has been made on the immigration issue thus far, and which will improve further over the course of time.
Look at how much even attempted illegal border crossing have been reduced! And look at the bona fide efforts the President has made—some of which will require the US Supreme Court to vindicate.
Progress is being made. Period. Is it perfect? No. But does the President deserve to be accused ot total betrayal. No.

They are not the first priority for deportation. Has President Trump promised them they will get renewals of the deferment in 2 years? I have not heard any hint that there will be renewal upon renewal. Once the wall is build and the criminal aliens are deported the DACA can be reevaluated.
This “all or none” “now or never” approach is not reality based. It is the way to insure that it’s none never.
You need glasses, I was one of the Presidents biggest supporters before the election, since Sept of 2015 to be precise, mostly based on his immigration stance that ALL illegal aliens have to go.
Since the election he has backtracked considerably, even if you do not want to acknowledge it.
USCIS is renewing DACA permits daily, some 600+ and issuing new permits to 140 new illegal aliens every day.
They are never going to be removed, that’s why the President told them they could rest easy.
I find that hard to believe, given your constant complaining since his inauguration. The President has done plenty of good in the area of controlling immigration, and, as I've mentioned, has earned our trust and loyalty many times over.

If he did not intend to end the illegal and unconstitutional DACA program protecting illegal aliens from our laws, he should not have promised to do so.
By continuing it he is undermining his own policy of going after sanctuary cities for doing the very same thing.
I do not know if it is a weak Trump or the rinos but if any person of Freerepublic ever tells me I need to hold my breath and vote for a rino instead of staying home....they can go fly a kite! (Yes, I am being kid friendly).

I don’t think that is anything but your pessimism speaking. A lot of people on deferred deportation are being quietly deported.
I know of DACA cases where renewals have been refused. I am content to see the tentacles being trimmed one at a time in an orderly fashion. The President has said he is triaging, taking out the criminal element first, but both he and Sessions have said that all illegals are subject to deportation.
I don’t think that was from Trump, the RNC contributes in his name. Check the small print at the bottom of the mailer.

We just went thru this in the primary where JimRob had to banish a bunch of them.
It is also a fact that illegals are being deported in large numbers but the media chooses to report a few that they think might trigger sympathy.
I live on the border and at least in my area everything has been stepped up considerably in border enforcement/deportation and plans are in place to step things up to a level we have never seen and I have lived on the border for over 45 years.
President Trump is just getting started and is fighting an uphill battle every step of the way.
Do the people being so critical of him have any real idea what is going on considering the media lies to promote an agenda that is far from Trumps? I have a real hard time finding out what is going on and I do try really hard to dig. Just cannot trust much of what is out there, makes it hard to know what is really going on. I know I have posted links here to show some of what is planned and those that complain the worst that he is not doing what he said never comment on those posts. I have stopped posting links and things because there seems to be no interest other than bashing.
The only thing I can be sure of is what I see happening with my own eyes and so far that looks like a great start.
