“Loved everything about fencing except for someone lunging at my chest with a piece of steel.”
It’s a martial art. Hit and don’t be hit.
“Characters need to grow. Never do on NCIS. When it became a chore to watch, we quit.”
I’ve known many real life people who never change. A few in my own family.
I have a cousin who still lives with her mom.
She did get married and have a kid but she was back living with her parents within 2 years
She’s 58 now but still has the outlook she had at 17: lifes a party, enjoy it.
She works, pays her bills, pays her mom rent and does all the lawn work.
At times there is something comfortable with characters not changing.
Would anyone have been happy with Gunsmokes Miss Kitty getting religion, closing the saloon and joining a convent?
Or Festus cleaning up and marrying a wealthy socialite?
Some people reach a point in their lives and stop. No growing or evolving as a person. They are who they are and thats it.
I have no problem with some show characters never changing. Thats life.
“it became yet another silly PC vehicle. The story lines have tilted leftward.”
Just goes to show you: leftism ruins everything it touches.
She had a part in the movie “33” about the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners.
“It has to be at least remotely plausible that the man they have cast would ever, in a million years, do such a thing.”
I thought about that.
I think every person has, at some point in their lives, a Moment of Courage.
It could be standing up for a belief or cause.
It could be finally telling your mother “I don’t like your meatloaf! I’ve never liked your meatloaf! I’ll never like your meatloaf! I’ve just eating it to keep from hurting your feelings! Please! No more meatloaf!”
Out of character, yes.
Implausible, no.
Just my opinion.
