I remember my college days when I had to pay over $500 just for books - per semester.
Textbooks is the biggest fraud facing education. Get rid of them and let students download textbooks on an Ipad or Kindle reading device. Also think of the money saved on health problems. I've known students who have back or wrist sprains from hauling around backpacks full of textbooks all day.
Then they’ll hose you for software.
You’re giving me college textbook flashbacks. And it’s not pleasant! Pay an arm and a leg for ‘em and get pennies on the dollar back at the end of the semester. Lugging them round campus was like lugging a bag of bricks. If they can get class materials on a tablet or laptop, more power to ‘em. The college textbook racket is a scheme the mob looks on with jealousy.
