Heavy snow forces postponement of People’s Climate March rally in Colorado

At least one of the People’s Climate March rallies scheduled for Saturday in Colorado was canceled as a result of a major snowstorm, providing climate skeptics with a good chuckle.

The Colorado Springs march, one of 12 slated to take place in Colorado, was canceled late Friday after heavy snow began falling across the Front Range, with more than a foot accumulating in some areas, as reported by Western Wire.

“Sometimes Mother Nature throws you a curveball!” said the Colorado Springs Council for Justice in a Friday post 350 Colorado Springs. “We know we aren’t in the business of risking anyone’s safety. Dangerous conditions and wet heavy snow in the forecast for tomorrow.”

More than 100 marchers braved the cold at a rally Saturday at Civic Center Park in Denver, where the snow was so heavy that someone was able to build a snowman, as shown in photos posted online. …

Father God is having a chuckle too!

What's funny about this is that it has been a very dry winter for Denver and Colorado. There haven't been many chances for a rally to get snowed on, but the climate change rally was a bulls-eye.

Lol, I’ve lost count of how many times God messes up these Global Warming idiots meetings.

They really need to figure out that it is better for them to have meetings in July and August, that way they have a better chance to make people aware of how hot it is.

The current ice age, the Pliocene-Quaternary glaciation, started about 2.58 million years ago during the late Pliocene, when the spread of ice sheets in the Northern Hemisphere began. Since then, the world has seen cycles of glaciation with ice sheets advancing and retreating on 40,000- and 100,000-year time scales called glacial periods, glacials or glacial advances, and interglacial periods, interglacials or glacial retreats.

The earth is currently in an inter-glacial, and the last glacial period ended about 10,000 years ago. All that remains of the continental ice sheets are the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets and smaller glaciers such as on Baffin Island.

Actually the norm for the earth is ice age for the last 2.5 million years. We have had brief interludes of great warmth as we are now enjoying. Life flourishes when the earth is warm. It only last about 15 to 20 thousand years. We may or may not be at the end of this lovely warming period.

Geologically speaking an ice age is probably coming soon. Perhaps the ice caps will melt totally and sea levels will rise or perhaps over the next ten thousand years it will turn cold cold cold and the sea levels will fall. Man will retreat from the sea or advance to the sea as these changes are slow in the terms of history. There will no disruption due to sea levels.

The great disruption will be cold as the earth will no longer be able to grow the food for man due to the cold of a new ice age. It will be slow and no one will even realize the disruption as the planet will provide what it can and population will slowly decline over thousands of years relative to food supply.

Ice Ages are the norm. pray for global warming. Ice Ages are hell for life on earth.

Please note that I did not comment about ice ages prior to the Pleistocene. There have been many ice ages prior to the Pleistocene but due to continental drift they are not relevant to our many ice ages of recent due to the fact the continents in the past were not where they are today. In fact Antarctica was at one time a tropical continent.

And the answer to this from global warmists: This snow will melt and raise the level of the oceans and flood the oceanside towns.

To liberals, computer models are enough to “settle” the debate forever. But Global Warming cannot be considered real science, because when you propose facts and data to liberals they do not accept them.

Wikipedia entry for “falsifiability” -—
“[Karl] Popper stresses the problem of demarcation—distinguishing the scientific from the unscientific—and makes falsifiability the demarcation criterion, such that what is unfalsifiable is classified as unscientific, and the practice of declaring an unfalsifiable theory to be scientifically true is pseudoscience.”

Colorado Springs is beautiful, but it has the most schizophrenic weather I’ve ever seen. So those people freak out over a little snow in April?

Anyone who has lived here expects this. It was a wet heavy snow that did not really come down until after midnight so no tree sweeping. Lost a large section of my fruit tree, probably will loose the whole tree. OTOH neighbors hive swarmed but stayed close and he was able to collect the bees for a second hive. Probably be gone by the end of the week.
