This is shocking! Dozens of FReepers repeatedly assured us that United would end up suing Dao because he failed to read the fine print on his ticket which explicitly stated the unconditional right of any and all United employees and any rent-a-cops they might utilize to brutalize seated passengers for any reason the Captain chooses because of his god-like powers that exceed all other law or authority, and that any seated customer who resisted such arbitrary brutalization for any reason whatsoever was simply trolling for a big lawsuit settlement that they had been planning for weeks in advance.

Well, sorry...the good Doctor DID score a HUGE financial settlement. His attorney had United by the short hairs and knew it.

United would have paid out less money to Dr. Dao, or al least to his estate, if they had let him stay on the plane and then killed him by intentionally crashing the plane.
But for the 7-10 million United paid to Dr. Dao, he will be as quiet as if they had killed him.

I do remember one saying he wouldn’t win.
Well, he did. In essence.

Lesson.
Yell and scream like a two year old, throw tantrum and get a pay day.

And so Dr Dao’s quick calculation into how to exploit the opportunity turns out to have been a lottery winner! Good for him. Not such a good day for his former profession but on the up side now he is out of it.

Geez, Munoz initially didn’t even know they’d breached public trust. Wonder who told him...

One problem - that is not what the fine print says and there were FAA regs and Federal laws violated by United. Wonder how many zeroes were in the check amount.

Well maybe a few, but most of us recognize the stage was set for this mental case to rob another business.
Dao is a queer, a mental illness case. He sold prescriptions to meet up with other queers to vector diseases by fecal-oral transmission. This makes him a drug dealer and a huckster. He lost his license because that is a federal crime. How many times, you can contact a bud with access to his record. How many times he didnt get caught is speculation, but habits are habits.

For way less than $10,000, I can rent a private plane and be home in time for whatever I need to do. Sheesh.

Raise your hand if you were one of the freepers who tried to school us all about following airline orders because the fine print on a ticket allows them to assault and humiliate you at will. :-)

Yesterday I predicted this was in the wings when I read Munoz statement yesterday. There was so much admission and “reform” in the message, it spelled “settlement with Dr Dao” coming.

Love your truthful sarcasm towards our Freeper friends who thought, wrongly, that Dr Dao did not have law on his side and would not prevail.
