What if Dad checks out in every which way and blames some kind of mental illness that he won’t seek help for? And doesn’t live there and doesn’t contribute in any way? Is that single mother also selfish? Because if I am selfish why is there nothing in my life even remotely for me? I must be doing selfish wrong too.
