I’m guessing that the way to boil an egg is to put it in boiling water. But how the heck do you make water boil?

I would assume you could boil an egg in boiling oil. I wouldn’t eat it afterward, but it would be a boiled egg.

Nope.

Put the eggs in COLD water. Make sure they are well covered. Bring water to a hard boil. Turn off heat, cover pot for 10 minutes. Move eggs to a bowl of cold water for a minute. Remove and shell.
