“FR is a weird place anymore.”

The world is a weird place anymore. We seem to reflect that, although to a lesser extent than most groups.

Weekly reenforcement on my decision to limit flying with the airlines to an absolute minimum.
SLF (self loading freight), treated like cattle in the stock yards.

...

Yep. And that’s because most people are willing to suffer in order to get a lower price. Running an airline is also very expensive.

Partial video. From what is visible the FA was doing the opposite of de-escalating.

...

I agree. He may have been prodded, but it’s a big part of his job to de-escalate. But for all we know he was having a very bad day before this happened. Maybe he was sick the night before or was in a noisy hotel.

Dealing with grumpy passengers every day has got to get to a person every now and then.

If I remember correctly, it was hyped up passengers aboard Flight 93 that took on the scum terrorists.

Some of us will intervene when we see crummy stuff going on -

But feel free to sit back and let someone else take the tough duty.

"Dealing with grumpy passengers every day has got to get to a person every now and then."

Then I would say that he needs to find himself a job in a different field.

I have never taken a job in any sort of customer service field because I KNOW that I have a quick temper and do not suffer fools lightly.

Maybe he needs to hit the road and find something that better fits his temperament.

This one, again, was completely mishandled by the airline stew.

Yep. Male airline steward needs to be fired. The conflict was clearly caused by American Airline employees. Female airline stewardess tells passenger okay to bring the stroller on and stow it, while the male airline steward was in conflict with that instruction and violently grabbed the stroller away possibly injuring the woman passenger holding a baby. Definite conflict in instructions and actions by crew. To American Airlines credit, they upgraded the woman to first class. Better response than how United acts.

Exactly. According to a growing number of FReepers they should have just sat in their seats cowering and obeying any and all authority figures. That’s okay - these FReepers are outing themselves as who we can’t trust when the SHTF.

The fascinating part for me was watching the plane’s captain stand there, watch everything and do absolutely nothing. He’s the man responsible for the aircraft and the crew and he just watched for a while and then walked into the cockpit and left the scene. You had a passenger sobbing, possibly injured, you had a steward going crazy and getting pugnacious, and you had another passenger intervening - and no words, no actions from the guy in charge.

If I were in charge of that airline, that captain would be out of a job.

Agree. Others have noted the strangely passive behavior of the captain as well. Bald puff-boy seemed to think he was in charge. I'm very curious as to his background.

I wonder when we'll get his name.

Good choice. Hop off 465 at 38th St. in Indy and cut over to 65 and save a little time.

Do you mean I-70 East? I-65 will take you to southern Indiana.

Agreed! From what I’ve seen and read so far in different threads, you are the only one who has even addressed that - beside myself earlier today. I saw the four stripes and figured he came from the cockpit - what was he doing standing there like he was an uninterested observer? He certainly was uninterested. I figured he had to be the captain but he was pretty disheveled like he’d already been in a fight and hardly looked like anything more than a baggage claim employee. Didn’t and doesn’t make sense for him to stand there doing nothing.

Just what we need, a bunch of hyped up passengers wanting to be tough guys and start fights on planes.

So, blame it on hyped up passengers, what would you do.. beside sit on your fanny and cower at the power of a flight attendant? ;-)

Are women with children most affected by this latest travesty or as you offer, there seems to be alot of insurrection around lately?

My question, who instigated what here?

The childish woman’s non-stop fake crying got old.

Have you followed this at all?

The woman was whacked in the forehead by a flight attendant and one of her twins was almost hit by the angry guy. Did you see the big egg-sized bruise on her forehead?

Knowing how they think, they probably upgraded her and left the two kids in general seating just to be a$$holes.

Plus the woman was traveling with two small babies! That would drive a lot of us hysterical even before the head bashing. I've seen too many of these gay fascist flight attendants. Hope this one gets terminated.

I’m with you of course

I’ve seen all the tapes I can find

Flight attendant bitch tits was having a bad day

The man who came to the aid of a distraught female with two babies in her arms deserves a medal for self control

I’d smacked that pushy faggot if he got in my face

This forum has gone downhill

Cryababies over everything

We need to hand out free tampons to some of these snowflakes

I bet they bitch up for TSA too

Most were prolly hall monitors....
