Cannot say I feel sorry for him, although as a Christian, I ought to have compassion in my heart for him. He is such a truly messed up individual. Why doesn’t he just go away and live his messed up life privately, away from all the cameras and the attention? A freak show, to be sure.

if you hope that He gets saved and turns his life around, then you DO have compassion for him- Having compassion for someone doesn’t mean we feel sorry for choices they make on their own- nor does it mean accepting their lifestyles- it means we hope that someday they will accept Christ as Savior- although it’s unlikely that they will given how deeply they’ve turned themselves over to the Evil One- All sinners are ‘messed up individuals’ as their hearts all all desperately wicked and rebellious- Bruce is no different than any other person who refuses to Accept Christ as Savior- He’s living his life in direct rebellion to God just like every other sinner does-
