I knew somebody would mention Fauxcahontas in this thread.
Actually I was in the library today and glanced at her book, Fighting Chance, a book published in 2014.
We all know about her rich heritage as 1/16th Injun.
But I was surprised that there was no mention (even in the copious index) of anything related to injuns, indigenous people, angry squaws, Harvard injuns — none of the subjects you would expect to find in this biography, given her heritage.
I can only conclude that Ms. Fauxcahontas is distancing herself from Cherokee Nation and is burning teepees behind her. I can’t imagine why.
Sad. But True.
Get your protest permit and don’t break any laws and all will be fine.

Possibly the same with the squirrels missing her, too.
