Step 1: Get a WiFi Analyzer app loaded on portable device and see if the router is putting out a continuous signal.

Additionally with the App, you can set up your router to not be bumping up against others in the neighborhood for better results by just changing the channel on your wifi router only (usually 1-14). Have it as far as possible on both sides from others. Do not need to adjust any other devices they will adapt immediately. ;)
