As Protestants, we were always told it was the Catholic version of Freemasons because Catholics weren’t allowed to be Masons because Masons had secrets that couldn’t be told in Confession.

Really, that’s what they told us.

Well Knights of Columbus is the Catholic version of FreeMasons .....but retains it’s allegience to their church and Pope rather than Herman Labyth or whatever his name is Masons swear an oath to.

They have rites, rituals, degrees and “promises’ rather than oaths etc. but focused on the teachings of the catholic church and Pope.

It denies it has “secrets”...however they are told not to reveal their business dealings or what takes place at their meetings.

FreeMasons is cultish........and initially Catholics were not welcomed...thus they established their own group...with similar degrees etc.. But not the focus on Free Masons fake deity.

I heard the same thing and a load of my friends are members of both.
