After being rescued from bankruptcy earlier this week, [Sungevity] fired more employees with no formal notice and changed its name to Spectrum Solar.

I think that FR wants the actual title of the article to be used.
I’m going to think that there’s a whole lot of ‘success stories’ involved with this company, about how they ‘reached deep into the inner city and brought them into the 21st century with modern and affordable solar installations.’
Might not be the case, but if the sub-prime situation showed anything, people will ignore standards and openly lie to sell contracts. And ‘free solar’ has been bantered about far too often.
