Agreed - I also watched these.

What sets Firing Line in a separate category from all of the others, to this very day,
was that it was a wandering among the pastures marked philosophy, psychology,
religion, literature, sociology, the plastic arts, theater and film, music, economics,
history.

Yes, Firing Line was slower paced, dealt with culture and not just politics. Maybe the closest thing to it would be Brian Lamb’s Booknotes over on C-Span which I’d see occasionally.
