Snooker is a variant of pocket billiards. Most pool players can't play snooker very well and vice versa with snooker players. Mark Selby is a notable exception as he is world #1 in snooker and has also won the world 8 ball championship. To play you have to make a red ball then a colored ball, moving back and forth until all the reds are gone then sink all of the colors in a certain order. It takes a lot of skill to play it well. Here is one of the best sinking them all in one turn:

Notice that while clearing the table he is not only showing great skill, he is changing hands depending on how he has to make the shot.

Notice also that they are playing in vests, trousers and bow ties. There is a lot of formality and part of that is paying respect to the judge after your match is over, something McLeod failed to do because the judge was female.
