I find it reprehensible that this practice continues to this day to any of us but to showcase this practice on females by our immigrant family when the rest of us has ‘suffered’ for decades at the hands of our own Christian traditions makes me ill.

Clitoral ‘surgery’ IS an abomination as is circumcision on our boys.

After reading your subsequent posts on the matter I’ve concluded that you are a willfully ignorant dumbass. There is zero comparison between male and female circumcision. Zero. As I said above, do yourself a favor and get an education. Idiot.

Within a circle of family and acquaintances here is the plain and scientific fact of not being circumcised--it is a rare parent, usually the mother, who is able to keep a baby boy properly clean, or to teach the little boy to keep himself clean. Particularly these days with such careless rearing of children. Often the tip of the foreskin closes and become impossible to retract for cleaning, creating infection and eventual surgery.

If parents do not want to circumcise their infant boys, this is fine with me. I am no advocate, I don't care!!

But the swift removal of an infant's foreskin at eight days is NOTHING like holding an eight year old girl down, spreading her legs wide as she screams in terror, slicing away the layers of labia and clitoris with a razor and then sewing the opening shut, creating an avenue of infection and destroying any opportunity to enjoy normal sexual intercourse.

FGM IS CASTRATION, not circumcision. Maybe get a foreskin implant. Quit drawing this abominable equivalency.
