If this is Langston Hughes Academy, most likely, it is majority black students. Most likely the students are from majority single mom households.
Such a decision has to hurt any watchful parent.
For the school to carry out this event seems extremely sneaky and dishonorable. The entire school administration is treating the concerned mother as if she is the only one who has any possible objection. They probably threw a couple of heavily veiled insults in their replies to her;
“Well, Ms. Foster, we try to help all the children at this school. If I may be so bold, Ms Foster, it is most unfortunate for your daughter’s sake, that your own abbreviated level of education has limited your understanding and your ability to appreciate how our program benefits the black community.
It may take Ms. Foster till the end of her work day before she realizes how deeply she has just been disrespected by her daughter’s counselor. In the olden days of the 1960’s, it would have taken my own mother less than one minute.
It’s easy to check that you were correct on your assumptions. All correct. Just Google it.
