you can bet the Dems would have impeachment papers submitted in early January 2019.

You have to have a majority in the House to start impeachment proceedings.

The day they moved to submit impeachment papers would be the day they lost their majority in the House.

The good news is that they could be cut down in time not to interfere with the DC cherry blossom display...

Yes, I understand that. My post was hypothetical, and my spell-check changed HOP to HOP, but I figured most would understand.

What I said was, if there was someone from the opposing party in the WH, the majority in the House would impeach them...it wouldn't get enough votes in the Senate, but any trumped up charge could gain a simple majority vote in the House.
