Had the pleasure to watch young Jake Guentzel for a couple of years while he was playing NCAA D1 for our home town University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. The kid is a really smart hockey player. Dad Mike is a coach, I believe an assistant with the U of M Gophers. Hope he stays healthy and has a long and successful NHL career.
He certainly has a sense of where to be and where to go on the ice.
I hope he wins a Cup with Pittsburgh.
