I’ve expressed support here for the Pens on account of their style of play and overall grit. That said, it was impressive that the Preds — whose nose-to-the-grindstone way is also appealing — got 6 goals on 18 shots tonight. I can’t recall anything like that.
Yes, way amazing. I was afraid there for a moment listening in the car. When the Ducks tied it up. I was desperate for the Preds to have their shot at the cup.
Happy at the win, truly amazing the shot / goal ratio. But then I went to mush. I actually am a Ducks fan too, just not as much, as my two oldest sons were rooting for the Ducks. And it hurt to see the guys crying. I’m a softie. We skated last year on their ice, we lived there. Hockey can be heartbreaking.
I think the Pens will win their series. I’m concerned about the Preds vs them, but I’ll be rooting.
