The name is not Moslem sounding, actually. it appears to be Indian which could well be Moslem, or Hindu, or Christian or several other things.
May be of Indian origin, but Hindus do not perform clitorectomies!
The women also don't wear hijabs.
At least no Hindu woman I've ever met.
I can't speak to what they may do in temple, but in public, they do not.
