To advocate abolishing the electoral college is to advocate abolishing congress. The logic of both is to ensure representative opinions from across this nation of states.

Within every district or state there are power centers, population centers, and capability factors that actually determine who can even become a viable candidate for those seats.

So, this libtard Feingold knows better than the Founding Fathers?

Yeah, let illegal aliens and left-wing moonbats in Los Angeles and New York determine the presidential election. Sure. Uh-huh.

Hitlery Rotten Criminal stole the popular vote because of voting fraud across the country, especially during the early voting, and millions of illegals voting, especially in The People’s Republic of California.

You want to change things? Allocate the electoral votes based on the winner of each congressional district, the way Maine and Nebraska already does.

This must be stopped. Here is why:

Feingold served in the U.S. Senate from 1993 until 2011.

And not once in the entire time did he stop to read the Constitution.

p.s. Russ, we do NOT live in a democracy. And thanks be to the living God that we do not.

In response, someone should start a group aimed at repealing the 17th amendment, so the US Senate would again be elected by the state legislators rather than by popular vote.

This would provide a similar balance to Congress.

The Electoral College did exactly what it was supposed to do...check block voting. All you have to do is see where Hillary campaigned. Every stop was a “block” vote area.

As long as his effort is legitimate (i.e. attempt to amend the Constitution in the manner proscribed in the Constitution) I have no problem with it.

More likely it’s more of this sleight-of-hand like a states compact.

BTW, public support to keep the Electoral College is up substantially after this election.

Nah, Russ Feingold wouldn’t just get into a fund-raising scheme just to assure himself of a hefty paycheck, would he?

And he always claimed to be such a “straight arrow”.

Actually, I think Mr. Feingold is just creating a high-paying job for himself.

I’d like to see the Electoral College slightly modified. Instead of assigning EC votes on a “winner take all” basis, allocate them by Congressional district majority vote, with two “at large” votes per state. IIRC, two states have already made this change.

There is no democracy to restore. There has never been a democracy. We are not a democracy, and I’m rather sick and tired of these anti-American leftist traitors getting away with calling it such. They are enemies of the state. It’s time we start treating them as such.

He’s the one who teamed up with McCain to screw up the campaign finance system that has allowed ever more money into campaigns.

Actually, it’s 3/4 of the states to ratify rather than 2/3. The 2/3 requirement is for the house and senate.

after losing his bid to return to the U.S. Senate, Middleton Democrat Russ Feingold

Poor Russ didn't get any electoral votes for his Senate race. Yeah, that's the reason. Uh, huh. Hey, Russ, how many electoral votes did your opponent get?
