I think they still have some feeling. In early surgeries they just removed it and there was no feeling. The thinking is this approach will cause less depression.
One wonders how surgeons think this stuff up and how they sleep at night.
As a side note, my wife fretted about declawing her cat (and didn’t do it) but didn’t give a second thought about having him neutered.
So, can the excess parts be used for, like you know, transplants and stuff?

There have to be enforceable medical ethical standards, and one is that a surgeon should not intentionally maim a delusional patient, even at the patient's request.
Such a patient should be referred for psychiatric treatment, not sexual mutilation. A surgeon who sexually disables an emotionally disturbed patient is ethically akin to a paid killer.

Bruce Jenner probably had years of homosexual lusting and was so conflicted that he interpreted those urges into believing he was a ‘woman’.
First there were gays in drag, but they clearly didn’t attract men, so they took the ultimate step - getting as close to being a ‘woman’ as possible.
Christine Jorgensen started this nonsense in 1952 where there were cretins (will not call them physicians) in Europe who performed this mutilation. Experiments on human beings should be outlawed = along with abortion.
