But don't get him started on his wife, or the time she dove into their swimming pool while wearing all her jewelry.

For more than half a century, the hollering, bald-headed "Mr. Warmth" let everyone have it. Insults rained on the meek and the mighty, from unsuspecting fans to such fellow celebrities as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Johnny Carson.

I never thought he was funny. His style of “comedy” always seemed to me to appeal to the sort of person who likes to step on kittens.
I remember his numerous appearances on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show and laughing hysterically at his antics. A very funny man in his unique way. Sorry to see him pass.

I’ve told jokes. Mostly I try for funny ones. You missed the point. It isn’t that I didn’t know they were jokes. I simply thought his shtick was utterly devoid of humor or entertainment value.
You could also say Sara Silverman is telling jokes, but I find her utterly repulsive yet I am aware she is supposed to be funny.

I would be surprised if it wasn’t Lynn Stalmaster though I can’t find who did.
Whenever you see a movie or TV show of the 50’s era up until the 2000’s with an excellent cast chemistry, chances are it was cast by Stalmaster and company. The guy was a master at his trade.
