Uh...magnetic fields are not normally measured in watts, are they? And they don't fry anything unless they are oscillating rapidly...kinda like a microwave. Unless physics has changed recently. 😊

Okay, ya got me. I'm just a guy with a history degree. My grasp of electrical dynamics is spotty at best :-P
Even so, I imagine that NASA has had to harden their probes to that planet. Jupiter is an electric powerhouse not to get trifled with. A few thousand miles down and the pressure turns the hydrogen into one vast metallic shell of protons. That kind of output can't possibly be conducive for life.
