This is a sad story but I have had near misses with skate borders and probably a lot of people here have. The parents were gracious enough to donate his organs and I am 100% behind this.

BTW, there was no indication of any negligence on the part of the driver so she was not cited or charged.

When I was a kid I loaned my skateboard to a friend and he broke his leg on the curb.

Those kids are so fast and they are not aware of traffic patterns, what to watch for, etc. No brakes either. Isn’t that too bad?

She was driving down a 4 lane divided highway (speed limit 35). There is a footbridge across the canal and crosswalks near the intersection. If the kid was in the crosswalk, perhaps the decision should have gone the other way; if he wasn’t then there was probably a good outcome.
