The Georgia Department of Transportation said it will take at least several months to repair Interstate 85, where an intense fire caused a section of the elevated northbound lanes to collapse during the Thursday evening rush hour.

...Eleby's been arrested 19 times in the last 22 years.
There can't be any more than two or three roads that matter in Atlanta that aren't named in some way after peach trees so I would imagine this is much hullabaloo over nothing.
Oh! Also burning plastics not unlike burning tires can be difficult to get started but if you've got a good ignition source and enough mass it can be very difficult to extinguish once you've got a large quantity going. I'm not so sure about peaches.
‘I-85 Repairs Will Likely Take Several Months’
1994 Northridge earthquake repairs. Took 8 weeks to repair fallen bridges which were to take 74 days more. The construction company did so to get bonus money. They finished ahead of the schedule city agreed on then the city tried to screw the company out of the bonus.
My Father once told me that he had seen fireproof buildings in Berlin totally burned out. I think one he mentioned was the Luftwaffe headquarters.
All Georgia needs to do is hire some former North Vietnamese. The way they repaired the Ho Chi Min trail night after night, they could get I-85 up and running in no time.
“That’ll buff right out.”
ESAD
Flexible pvc conduit for fiber optic cable. It comes in rolls, typically not on spools like the actual cable. It is quite likely both were being stored and were involved in the conflagration, from the pics I’ve seen.
note your ownself idiot. There are electricians who do many different jobs, I repair and maintian CNC machine controls in a manufacturing envirement. Cable is not conduit, again ESAD.
With a huge stockpile of pvc conduit and fiber optic cable.
Or HDPE, not PVC. It still burns nicely.

Then you probably should refrain from pontificating (wrongly) on subjects of which you are ignorant. And buy a book to learn the difference between cable and conduit, and the different kinds of conduit available today.
You were quite obviously enlisted in the Navy; you are clearly not officer material.
Three people have now been arrested in connection with setting the fire. There are also reports of ATF investigating at the scene.
Who asked your opinion? Not I. Keep it to yourself.
If you don’t want the opinions of others, you probably need to stay off of FreeRepublic. And spend that time learning about electrical terminology.
Look you sorry a88ed snowflake, stop trying to talk to me.
